New Term , new classes...

This term we have a number of new classes, below are a highlight. We've always had a balance of classes in education and recreation, first is an upskilling class that has drawn a lot of interest.
Driving Theory Test
Suitable for anyone who wants to prepare for the theory test. With tutor Bill's guidance and support, study tips and guidance on the multiple choice test. Covering rules of the road, road signs, hazard perception and real-world scenarios. As the saying goes, 'practice makes perfect'.
Also there will be FREE driving lessons for those who complete this course and pass the theory test. Another helping hand in getting you towards a full licence.
Sugán Chairs
Craft classes are always very popular, and some of the works have been kindly given to the centre, including a mosaic in the hallway and some smaller pieces decorate our main classroom. This class will see each learner putting together a stool by hand without needing a single nail!
Below is an example of a finished piece, made by tutor James Ryan.

Glass Painting
With glass instead of paper, learners can create designs that come alive under light, a stained glass effect achieved with ease.
Rug Making
Turn yarn and recycled textiles into decorative pieces for your home. Using beginner-friendly techniques and a step by step process including hooking and threading.
Model Project
To celebrate 20 years of St Marys Adult Education having found a home in its current building, we'll be holding a class to create a scale model of the building—a tribute crafted by the learners who bring it to life. The finished model will be unveiled at our anniversary event next May.
Neighbors and the Law
Everyday issues with neighbours can feel complicated and many may be unsure of what to do or how to start. This class provides an understanding of both your rights and responsibilities and how to resolve problems calmly and fairly. Common topics such as noise, fence boundaries, privacy and anti-social behaviour as well as scenarios that learners themselves suggest, will all be discussed.
